Indications

Oak bark decoction is used as an astringent and anti-inflammatory agent for rinsing in inflammatory diseases of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, pharynx, and throat; gingivitis, stomatitis.

How to use

About 20 g (2-3 tablespoons) of oak bark is placed in an enamel container, poured with 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, covered with a lid, and infused in a boiling water bath for 30 minutes. Then, it is strained without cooling through a double layer of cheesecloth, and the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the resulting decoction is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.
The decoction is used for rinsing 6-8 times a day.
Before use, the decoction must be shaken.

Около 20 г (2-3 столовые ложки) коры дуба помещают в эмалированную посуду, заливают 200 мл (1 стакан) горячей кипяченой воды, закрывают крышкой и настаивают на кипящей водяной бане 30 минут, затем процеживают, не охлаждая, через двойной слой марли, оставшееся сырье отжимают. Объем полученного отвара доводят кипяченой водой до 200 мл.
Применяют отвар для полосканий 6-8 раз в сутки.
Перед употреблением отвар необходимо взбалтывать.

Oak bark contains 10-20% tannins, free gallic and ellagic acids, catechins, flavonoids, triterpenoids, sitosterol, vitamins B1, B2, B6, pantothenic acid, ascorbic acid, macro- and microelements, and other biologically active substances.

Pieces of bark of various shapes, passing through a sieve with holes measuring 7 mm. Color light brown, light gray, silver, or yellowish-brown. Odor weak, peculiar, intensifying when the bark is moistened with water. Taste of the aqueous extract is strongly astringent.

В коре дуба содержится 10-20 % дубильных веществ, свободная галловая и эллаговая кислоты, катехины, флавоноиды, тритерпеноиды, ситостерин, витамины B1, B2, Вб, пантотеновая, аскорбиновая кислоты, макро- и микроэлементы и другие биологически активные вещества.

Кусочки коры различной формы, проходящие сквозь сито с отверстиями размером 7 мм. Цвет светло-коричневый, светло-серый, серебристый или желтовато-коричневый. Запах слабый, своеобразный, усиливающийся при смачивании коры водой. Вкус водного извлечения сильно вяжущий.
