How to use

For oral use, adults are prescribed 1 tablet 3 times a day for 3-5 days.
Children over 12 years old - 1 tablet 2-3 times a day for 3-5 days.
The necessity for a repeat course is determined by the physician.
Maximum doses for adults for oral use (calculated based on thermopsis): single dose - 0.1 g; daily dose - 0.3 g.

Contraindications & warnings

Hypersensitivity, peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum (during exacerbation), age under 12 years.

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding
Controlled studies in pregnant women have not been conducted. There is no data on the penetration of alkaloids contained in the thermopsis herb through the placental barrier and into breast milk. Do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

To improve the thinning and expulsion of mucus, it is recommended to prescribe abundant warm fluids.

Effect on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery
There is no data on the effect of the drug on the ability to drive a vehicle and perform potentially hazardous activities that require increased attention and quick psychomotor reactions.

Гиперчувствительность, язвенная болезнь желудка и двенадцатиперстной кишки (в фазе обострения), детский возраст до 12 лет.

Применение при беременности и в период грудного вскармливания
Контролируемых исследований на беременных не проводилось. Нет данных о проникновении алкалоидов, содержащихся в траве термопсиса, через плацентарный барьер и в грудное молоко. Не применять во время беременности и в период грудного вскармливания.

Для улучшения разжижения и отделения мокроты рекомендуется назначать обильное теплое питье.

Влияние на способность управлять транспортными средствами, механизмами
Данные о влиянии препарата на способность управления транспортным средством и выполнения потенциально опасных видов деятельности, требующих повышенной концентрации внимания и быстроты психомоторных реакций отсутствуют.

Side effects, overdose & interactions

Nausea.

Symptoms: nausea, vomiting.
Treatment: gastric lavage, symptomatic treatment.

Adsorbents, astringents, and coating agents may reduce the absorption of alkaloids present in the thermopsis herb.
Termopsol® cough tablets should not be used simultaneously with medications containing codeine and other antitussive drugs, as this complicates the expulsion of phlegm.

Лечение: промывание желудка, симптоматическое лечение.

Адсорбенты, вяжущие и обволакивающие средства могут снижать всасывание алкалоидов, входящих в состав травы термопсиса.
Термопсол® таблетки от кашля не следует применять одновременно с препаратами, содержащими кодеин и другие противокашлевые лекарственные средства, так как это затрудняет отделение мокроты.

Pharmacology

The herb thermopsis has an expectorant effect, providing a moderate irritating action on the receptors of the gastric mucosa, reflexively increasing the secretion of bronchial glands. The alkaloids contained in thermopsis (cytisine, methylcytisine, pachycarpine, anagyrine, thermopsin, thermopsidin) exert a stimulating effect on the respiratory and, at high doses, on the vomiting centers.
Sodium bicarbonate stimulates the secretion of bronchial glands and helps reduce the viscosity of mucus.

Трава термопсиса обладает отхаркивающим действием, оказывая умеренное раздражающее действие на рецепторы слизистой оболочки желудка, рефлекторно повышает секрецию бронхиальных желез. Содержащиеся в траве термопсиса алкалоиды (цитизин, метилцитизин, пахикарпин, анагирин, термопсин, термопсидин) оказывают возбуждающее действие на дыхательный и, в высоких дозах, на рвотные центры.
Натрия гидрокарбонат стимулирует секрецию бронхиальных желез, способствует снижению вязкости мокроты.
