Verrucacid 2 g solution for external use

Common, filiform, and plantar warts; papillomas; genital warts; dry corns; keratoses.

Verucacid® is intended for external use only.
The preparation is applied precisely to the affected area using a special applicator or a small thin wooden stick, avoiding contact with adjacent healthy skin and mucous membranes.
For small papillomas (up to 2 mm in size) and filiform warts, Verucacid® is applied once.
Larger papillomas and small warts (2-3 mm in size) are treated with the preparation 3-4 times, allowing breaks for the applied liquid to dry.
Before removing warts with a dense keratinized surface on the hands, plantar warts, keratoses, and dry calluses, it is necessary to remove the keratinous layers from their surface. For this, a keratolytic ointment (for example, 10% salicylic acid or similar) is applied for several hours, covering the treated area with compress paper or polyethylene film, and then using a gauze bandage. Taping with adhesive plaster is also possible. After this, the bandage or adhesive plaster is removed, the skin is steamed in hot water with the addition of soap and soda for 10-15 minutes, and the keratinous layers are removed (cut with manicure scissors or tweezers). Verucacid® is then applied several times to the dried skin, with 3-4 minute breaks for the preparation to dry.
Warts on the hands and soles are treated with Verucacid® 7-10 times with an interval of 3-4 minutes.
Keratoses and dry calluses should be treated 3-4 times with an interval of 3-4 minutes.
If multiple applications of the preparation are necessary, it is advisable to apply zinc paste to the surrounding skin to avoid burns. The paste is removed with a dry gauze swab after the last portion of Verucacid® has dried.
It is not recommended to remove pointed condylomas independently; their treatment with Verucacid® is performed in a dermatovenerology or urology clinic by a specialist. The preparation is applied to each element separately 1-2 times with an interval of 3-4 minutes.
Re-treatment, if necessary, is performed 6-8 days after the scab falls off. Up to 4-5 procedures are allowed.

Active ingredients: phenol - 588 mg, 3-methylphenol (metacresol) - 392 mg.
Excipients: ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 95% - 10 mg, purified water up to 1.0 g.

Mobile oily liquid ranging in color from pink or light yellow to brown with a characteristic odor.

Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug. Pigmented nevi (moles), rashes located on the red border of the lips and mucous membranes. The drug should not be applied to a skin area larger than 20 cm².
Children under 7 years old.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
The use of the drug is possible in cases where the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or child. During lactation, it is not recommended to remove formations located on the mammary glands and the palms of the hands.

Do not allow the medication to come into contact with mucous membranes, especially the mucous membrane of the eyes. In case of contact, rinse the eyes immediately with plenty of water and consult an ophthalmologist.
It is unacceptable to bandage areas treated with the medication, cover them with a plaster, apply any ointments, or remove scabs; do not reapply the medication earlier than the specified intervals. Clothing made of synthetic fabrics should not come into contact with the area of skin treated with the medication.
It is not recommended to apply Verrucacid® to lesions located in skin folds (inguinal folds, anal area, interdigital spaces, etc.) and heavily sweating areas to avoid burns to the unaffected skin in contact with the surface or as a result of the medication spreading on wet skin.
The area of skin treated with Verrucacid® should dry in the air; it should not be smeared with any ointments or washed with water on the first day after treatment.
When used correctly, the medication does not leave scars.
Particular care and caution are required when treating children with the medication.
In case of crystal precipitation, the bottle should be warmed in a water bath at a temperature of 30 to 40°C with gentle shaking; after the crystals dissolve, the medication is suitable for use.

Burn (upon contact with healthy skin). In case of accidental contact of the product with healthy skin, it is necessary to immediately and carefully remove it from the skin without rubbing, and then treat the affected areas with 10-40% ethyl alcohol or alcohol-containing liquids (vodka, lotion, cologne) and thoroughly wash with warm water and soap. In case of a burn, it is recommended to use burn and healing agents. Swelling and redness of the skin upon application in the eye area, which resolve on their own. Allergic reactions.
