Indications

In the complex therapy of the following conditions:

• deep and superficial burns (preparation of patients for autodermoplasty);

• chronic non-healing wounds;

• trophic ulcers;

• peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum;

• pressure sores;

• frostbite;

• purulent-inflammatory diseases of soft tissues and bones;

• chronic osteomyelitis;

• streptococcal infections (angina, erysipelas);

• microbial eczema;

• psoriasis;

• viral hepatitis;

• pulmonary tuberculosis;

• pneumonia;

• chronic bronchitis;

• chronic cystic sinusitis;

• salmonellosis;

• rheumatism;

• thrombophlebitis of the deep veins of the lower extremities;

• pre- and post-operative periods for the prevention of purulent-inflammatory complications of postoperative wounds, especially in patients with a high risk of abdominal wall suture failure (anemia, diabetes mellitus, etc.) and gastrointestinal tract issues.

How to use

Take orally before meals.
For deep and superficial burns (preparation of patients for autodermoplasty) – 500 mg (2 tablets) 3 times a day for 20 days. For skin plastic surgeries, the drug is prescribed before and after the operation for 10 days.
For long-term non-healing wounds, trophic ulcers, pressure sores – 500 mg (2 tablets) 3 times a day for 25–30 days.
For peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum – 500 mg (2 tablets) 2 times a day for 12 days.
For frostbite – 250–500 mg (1–2 tablets) 3–4 times a day for 2–5 weeks.
For purulent-inflammatory diseases of soft tissues and bones – 500 mg (2 tablets) 4 times a day for 10–30 days.
For chronic osteomyelitis – before and after surgery 500 mg (2 tablets) 4 times a day for 20–25 days. Repeated treatment courses are conducted every 6 months for 1.5 years.
For angina, erysipelas – 500 mg (2 tablets) 3 times a day for 7–10 days.
For microbial eczema – 500 mg (2 tablets) 3 times a day for 10 days.
For psoriasis – 500 mg (2 tablets) 3 times a day for 2–3 weeks.
For viral hepatitis B and C – 500 mg (2 tablets) 3 times a day for 10 days.
For pulmonary tuberculosis – 500 mg (2 tablets) 4 times a day for 2 months.
For pneumonia and chronic bronchitis – 500 mg (2 tablets) 4 times a day for 18–21 days.
For chronic cystic sinusitis – 250–500 mg (1–2 tablets) 4 times a day for 1 month.
For salmonellosis – 500 mg (2 tablets) 3 times a day for 7 days.
For rheumatism – 500 mg (2 tablets) 3 times a day for 3–4 weeks.
In the pre- and post-operative periods for the prevention of purulent-inflammatory complications of postoperative wounds, especially in patients at high risk of abdominal wall suture failure (anemia, diabetes, etc.) and gastrointestinal tract – 500 mg (2 tablets) 4 times a day for 10–20 days (starting from the first day after surgery or in the preoperative period 3–5 days and then from the first day after surgery).

Применять внутрь до еды.
При глубоких и поверхностных ожогах (подготовке больных к аутодермопластике) – по 500 мг (2 таблетки) 3 раза в день в течение 20 дней. При проведении кожно-пластических операций препарат назначают до и после операции по 10 дней.
При длительно незаживающих ранах, трофических язвах, пролежнях – по 500 мг (2 таблетки) 3 раза в день в течение 25–30 дней.
При язвенной болезни желудка и двенадцатиперстной кишки – по 500 мг (2 таблетки) 2 раза в день курсом 12 дней.
При отморожениях – по 250–500 мг (1–2 таблетки) 3–4 раза в день в течение 2–5 недель.
При гнойно-воспалительных заболеваниях мягких тканей и костей – по 500 мг (2 таблетки) 4 раза в день в течение 10–30 дней.
При хроническом остеомиелите – до и после операции по 500 мг (2 таблетки) 4 раза в день в течение 20–25 суток. Повторные курсы лечения проводят через 6 месяцев на протяжении 1,5 лет.
При ангине, роже – по 500 мг (2 таблетки) 3 раза в день в течение 7–10 дней.
При микробной экземе – по 500 мг (2 таблетки) 3 раза в день в течение 10 дней.
При псориазе – по 500 мг (2 таблетки) 3 раза в день в течение 2–3 недель.
При вирусных гепатитах В и С – по 500 мг (2 таблетки) 3 раза в день в течение 10 дней.
При туберкулезе легких – по 500 мг (2 таблетки) 4 раза в день в течение 2 месяцев.
При пневмонии и хроническом бронхите – по 500 мг (2 таблетки) 4 раза в день в течение 18–21 дня.
При хроническом кистозном синусите – по 250–500 мг (1–2 таблетки) 4 раза в день в течение 1 месяца.
При сальмонеллезе – по 500 мг (2 таблетки) 3 раза в день в течение 7 дней.
При ревматизме – по 500 мг (2 таблетки) 3 раза в день в течение 3–4 недель.
В до- и послеоперационном периодах для профилактики гнойно¬-воспалительных осложнений послеоперационных ран, особенно у больных с высоким риском несостоятельности швов брюшной стенки (анемия, сахарный диабет и др.) и желудочно-кишечного тракта – по 500 мг (2 таблетки) 4 раза в день в течение 10–20 дней (с первого дня после операции или в дооперационный период 3–5 дней и далее с первого дня после операции).

Composition

1 tablet contains:
Active ingredient: hydroxyethyl dimethyl dihydropyrimidine – 250 mg.
Excipients: potato starch, talc, calcium stearate.

Round flat-cylindrical tablets from white to light pink or light pink with a yellowish tint, with specks of a more intense shade, with a bevel and a score line on one side.

Вспомогательные вещества: крахмал картофельный, тальк, кальция стеарат.

Круглые плоскоцилиндрические таблетки от белого до светло-розового цвета или светло-розового с желтоватым оттенком цвета с вкраплениями более интенсивного оттенка, с фаской и риской с одной стороны.

Contraindications & warnings

• Hypersensitivity to hydroxyethyl dimethyl dihydropyrimidine and other components of the preparation;

• Leukemia (acute and chronic);

• Erythremia;

• Age under 18 years.

With caution
Patients with diabetes mellitus should monitor glucose tolerance more frequently due to the possible reduction in insulin requirements.

Side effects, overdose & interactions

Possible side effects include dyspepsia, allergic reactions.

Due to the low toxicity and wide therapeutic range of hydroxyethyl dimethyl dihydropyrimidine, no cases of toxic manifestations have been observed.

No incompatibility of Ximedon® with any medications has been identified.
It can be combined with anabolic steroids, chemical and biological antiseptics.

Возможны – диспепсия, аллергические реакции.

В связи с малой токсичностью и большой широтой терапевтического действия гидроксиэтилдиметилдигидропиримидина случаев токсических проявлений не наблюдалось.

Несовместимость Ксимедона® с какими-либо лекарственными препаратами не выявлена.
Можно комбинировать с анаболическими стероидами, химическими и биологическими антисептиками.

Pharmacology

Hydroxyethyl dimethyl dihydropyrimidine accelerates tissue regeneration processes and reduces healing time for burn surfaces, improves the integration of skin grafts during autodermoplasty. It contributes to normalizing the ratio between the fibrinogen content in the blood and its fibrinolytic activity, enhancing regional blood circulation. It normalizes the immune system, increases the phagocytic activity of T-lymphocytes, and enhances the nonspecific resistance of the body. It stimulates erythropoiesis and leukopoiesis, cellular and humoral defense factors, and exhibits anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects.

When taken orally, hydroxyethyl dimethyl dihydropyrimidine is rapidly absorbed within 0.5–1 hour; the maximum concentration of the drug in the blood serum is reached after 1.7 hours. The half-life of the drug is 5.5 hours. Due to the low percentage of binding to serum albumin (9%) and the absence of biotransformation in the body, the drug does not exert a competitive effect when taken with other medications.

Гидроксиэтилдиметилдигидропиримидин ускоряет процессы регенерации тканей и сокращает сроки заживления ожоговой поверхности, улучшает приживление кожных трансплантатов при аутодермопластике. Способствует нормализации соотношения между содержанием фибриногена в крови и ее фибринолитической активностью, улучшает регионарное кровообращение. Нормализует иммунную систему, повышает фагоцитарную активность Т-лимфоцитов и неспецифическую резистентность организма. Стимулирует эритро- и лейкопоэз, клеточные и гуморальные факторы защиты, оказывает противовоспалительное и антимикробное действие.

При пероральном приеме гидроксиэтилдиметилдигидропиримидина происходит быстрое всасывание его в течение 0,5–1 ч; максимальная концентрация препарата в сыворотке крови достигается через 1,7 ч. Период полувыведения препарата составляет 5,5 ч. В результате низкого процента связывания с сывороточным альбумином (9 %) и отсутствием биотрансформации в организме препарат не оказывает конкурентного действия при приеме других лекарственных средств.
