Indications

• Inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system (joint syndrome during exacerbation of gout, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteochondrosis with radicular syndrome, radiculitis, inflammatory lesions of ligaments and tendons, bursitis, sciatica, lumbago), except for degenerative diseases of the hip joint and small intervertebral joints.
• Muscle pain of rheumatic and non-rheumatic origin.
• Post-traumatic inflammation of soft tissues and the musculoskeletal system (ligament injuries and tears, contusions).

• Воспалительные и дегенеративные заболевания опорно-двигательного аппарата (суставной синдром при обострении подагры, ревматоидный артрит, псориатический артрит, анкилозирующий спондилоартрит, остеохондроз с корешковым синдромом, радикулит, воспалительное поражение связок и сухожилий, бурсит, ишиас, люмбаго), за исключением дегенеративных заболеваний тазобедренных и мелких межпозвонковых суставов.

How to use

For external use. The total amount of ointment for adults should not exceed 15 cm dispensed from the tube per day; for children aged 12 and older - 7.5 cm.
Adults and children aged 12 and older should apply the ointment in a thin layer to the affected areas of the skin 2-3 times a day, using 2-3 cm (1-1.5 g) each time.
Children aged 6 to 12 years should use no more than 1 cm of the product no more than 2 times a day.
Children are not recommended to use occlusive dressings.
The duration of therapy without consulting a doctor should not exceed 2 weeks.
Warning. The product should only be applied to intact skin. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and open wounds. During prolonged treatment (more than 10 days), monitor blood counts (white blood cell and platelet levels).

Наружно. Общее количество мази для взрослых в сутки не должно превышать 15 см, выдавливаемых из тубы, для детей с 12 лет - 7,5 см.
Взрослым и детям с 12 лет мазь наносят тонким слоем на кожу болезненных участков тела 2-3 раза в день по 2-3 см (1-1,5 г).
Детям с 6 до 12 лет используют не более 1 см препарата не чаще 2 раза в день.
Детям не рекомендуется использовать окклюзионные повязки.
Продолжительность терапии без консультации врача не более 2 недель.
Предупреждение. Препарат следует наносить только на неповрежденные участки кожи. Избегать попадания мази в глаза, на слизистые оболочки и открытые раны. При продолжительном лечении (более 10 дней) проверять картину крови (число лейкоцитов и тромбоцитов).

Composition

In 100 grams of the ointment, the composition is as follows:
active ingredient: indomethacin - 10 g,
excipients: polyethylene oxide 1500 (macrogol) - 40 g,
polyethylene oxide 400 (macrogol) - 35.65 g,
dimexide (dimethyl sulfoxide) - 10 g,
triethanolamine (thermostable) - 0.25 g,
nipagin (methylparaben) - 0.1 g,
purified water - 4 g.

Ointment from light yellow to yellow with a greenish tint, with a faint specific odor.

Contraindications & warnings

Increased sensitivity to indomethacin, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or other components of the dosage form; pregnancy and lactation; pediatric age (under 6 years); disruption of the integrity of the skin at the site of intended application; complete or incomplete combination of bronchial asthma, recurrent nasal mucosa or paranasal sinus polyposis, and intolerance to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs (including in history).

With caution
Simultaneous use with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; hepatic porphyria (exacerbation); erosive-ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract; severe liver and kidney dysfunction; chronic heart failure; bronchial asthma; elderly age; hypocoagulation.

The ointment should be applied only to intact areas of the skin, avoiding contact with the eyes or mucous membranes.

Повышенная чувствительность к индометацину, другим нестероидным противовоспалительным препаратам или другим компонентам лекарственной формы, беременность и период лактации, детский возраст (до 6 лет), нарушение целостности кожных покровов в месте предполагаемого нанесения, полное или неполное сочетание бронхиальной астмы, рецидивирующего полипоза слизистой оболочки носа или околоносовых пазух и непереносимости ацетилсалициловой кислоты или других НПВП (в т.ч. в анамнезе).

С осторожностью
Одновременное применение с другими нестероидными противовоспалительными препаратами, печеночная порфирия (обострение), эрозивно-язвенные поражения желудочно-кишечного тракта, тяжелые нарушения функции печени и почек, хроническая сердечная недостаточность, бронхиальная астма, пожилой возраст, гипокоагуляция.

Мазь следует наносить только на неповрежденные участки кожи, избегать попадания в глаза или слизистые оболочки.

Side effects, overdose & interactions

Local side effects may occur: dry skin, rash, allergic reactions, itching and skin hyperemia, burning. The possibility of systemic side effects cannot be excluded: angioedema, asthma attacks, photosensitization reactions.
In rare cases - exacerbation of psoriasis.
If side effects not described in the instructions occur, consult a doctor.

The extremely low systemic absorption of the active components of the drug with external use makes overdose practically impossible.
However, in the case of accidental application of large amounts of the ointment, undesirable reactions may occur: nausea, vomiting, severe headache, dizziness, memory disturbances, and disorientation. In more severe cases, paresthesia, numbness of the limbs, and seizures may be observed.
In the event of accidental ingestion of large amounts of the drug, the development of systemic side effects is possible.
Treatment includes rapid elimination of the drug from the body and the use of appropriate symptomatic agents. Indomethacin cannot be eliminated from the body by hemodialysis.

The ointment may enhance the effects of drugs that cause photosensitization.
No clinically significant interactions with other medications have been reported.

Возможно развитие местных побочных эффектов: сухость кожи, сыпь, аллергические реакции, зуд и гиперемия кожи, жжение. Не исключается возможность развития системных побочных эффектов: ангионевротический отек, приступы удушья, реакции фотосенсибилизации.
В единичных случаях - обострение псориаза.
При появлении побочных реакций, не описанных в инструкции, следует обратиться к врачу.

Крайне низкая системная абсорбция активных компонентов препарата при наружном применении делает передозировку практически невозможной.
Однако, при случайном применении больших количеств мази, возможно появление нежелательных реакций: тошнота, рвота, сильная головная боль, головокружение, нарушения памяти и дезориентация. В более тяжелых случаях наблюдаются парестезии, онемение конечностей и судороги.
При случайном проглатывании больших количеств препарата возможно развитие системных побочных эффектов.
Лечение включает быстрое выведение препарата из организма и применение соответствующих симптоматических средств. Индометацин нельзя вывести из организма посредством гемодиализа.

Мазь может усиливать действие препаратов, вызывающих фотосенсибилизацию.
Клинически значимого взаимодействия с другими лекарственными средствами не описано.
