How to use

For external use.

Active ingredient: Nystatin - 2.222 g
Excipients: anhydrous lanolin - 40.000 g; petroleum jelly - up to 100 g

Homogeneous ointment from yellow to brownish-yellow in color.

Pregnancy
Use during pregnancy is possible if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or child, only after consulting with the attending physician.
Breastfeeding
The use of the drug during breastfeeding is possible (nystatin is not absorbed from the skin surface), excluding the area of the mammary glands, only after consulting with the attending physician.

The use of the ointment can be combined with oral administration of nystatin.
If an allergic reaction occurs on the skin during or after the application of the ointment, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
Effect of the medication on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery
The medication does not affect the ability to drive vehicles, operate machinery, or engage in other potentially dangerous activities that require increased attention and quick psychomotor responses.

Применение мази можно сочетать с приемом нистатина внутрь.
Если во время и после нанесения мази на коже проявилась аллергическая реакция, необходимо прекратить применение препарата и обратиться к врачу.
Влияние лекарственного препарата на способность управлять автотранспортными средствами и механизмами
Препарат не оказывает влияния на способность управлять транспортными средствами, механизмами и занятия другими потенциально опасными видами деятельности, требующими повышенной концентрации внимания и быстроты психомоторных реакций.

Side effects, overdose & interactions

Skin itching, rashes, fever, chills, allergic reactions.

Since the drug is not absorbed through the skin, the likelihood of overdose is excluded. No cases of nystatin overdose have been reported.

The simultaneous use of nystatin with clotrimazole reduces the activity of the latter.

Кожный зуд, высыпания, лихорадка, озноб, аллергические реакции.

Ввиду того что препарат не всасывается с поверхности кожи, вероятность передозировки исключена. Случаев передозировки нистатина не зафиксировано.

При одновременном применении нистатина с клотримазолом активность последнего снижается.

Pharmacology

Polyene antifungal antibiotic. Exhibits antifungal (fungistatic and fungicidal) activity. Contains a high number of double bonds in its structure, which contributes to the substance's high affinity for sterol formations in the cytoplasmic membrane of fungi. As a result, the molecule integrates into the cell membrane, forming numerous channels that facilitate uncontrolled transport of water, electrolytes, and non-electrolytes. The cell loses its resistance to external osmotic forces and undergoes lysis. Resistance develops very slowly.
Active against yeast-like fungi of the genus Candida and Aspergillus. Exhibits fungistatic action, and at higher doses, fungicidal action.

Not absorbed through the skin surface.

Полиеновый противогрибковый антибиотик. Обладает противогрибковой (фунгистатической и фунгицидной) активностью. Имеет в структуре большое количество двойных связей, обусловливающих высокую тропность вещества к стериновым образованиям цитоплазматической мембраны грибов. Вследствие этого молекула встраивается в мембрану клетки с образованием множества каналов, способствующих неконтролируемому транспорту воды, электролитов и неэлектролитов. Клетка теряет устойчивость к воздействию внешних осмотических сил и лизируется. Резистентность развивается очень медленно.
Активен в отношении дрожжеподобных грибов рода Candida и аспергиллы. Оказывает фунгистатическое, а в больших дозах - фунгицидное действие.

Не всасывается с поверхности кожи.
