How to use

Apply the PERTOTAL 2% shampoo to the affected areas of the skin or scalp for 3-5 minutes, then rinse with water. Treatment:

• tinea versicolor: daily use for 5 days, and if there is no effect, the course may be extended to 7 days;

• seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp and various types of dandruff: twice a week for 1 month. Prevention: For prevention, PERTOTAL 1% shampoo is used.

Composition

Section: Composition

In 100 g of shampoo contains:
active ingredient: ketoconazole 2 g;
excipients: sodium lauryl sulfate, diethanolamide of coconut oil fatty acids, polysorbate 80, sodium chloride, propylene glycol, disodium edetate, hydrochloric acid, triethanolamine, acrylamide and diallyldimethylammonium chloride copolymer (polyquaternium-7), ethylene glycol monostearate, purified water;
fragrance additives and colorants: flavoring AL 012403, crimson dye (Ponceau 4R), E 124.

2% shampoo. A homogeneous viscous pearlescent liquid of pink color with a pleasant perfume scent.

Contraindications & warnings

Contraindications

The PERTOTAL shampoo is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to any of its components.

With caution:

As a result of clinical studies, ketoconazole was not detected in plasma; however, women during pregnancy and lactation should use PERTOTAL 2% shampoo with caution.

Special instructions

It is necessary to avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, they should be rinsed with water. If accidentally ingested, it is not recommended to induce vomiting or use gastric lavage to prevent aspiration (entry of vomit into the lungs).
When used in combination for a prolonged period with topical forms of glucocorticosteroids (GCS), it is recommended to use GCS in the morning and the PERCOTAL shampoo in the evening, followed by a gradual withdrawal of GCS over 2-3 weeks to prevent the development of "withdrawal syndrome."
There is no information on any adverse effects in children; the efficacy and safety of use in this population have not been established.

Шампунь ПЕРХОТАЛ противопоказан при наличии повышенной чувствительности к любому из его компонентов.
С осторожностью:
В результате клинических исследований кетоконазол в плазме не обнаружен, тем не менее, женщинам в период беременности и лактации следует принимать шампунь ПЕРХОТАЛ 2% с осторожностью.

Следует избегать попадания в глаза. При попадании шампуня в глаза необходимо промыть их водой. При случайном попадании внутрь не рекомендуется вызывать рвоту или использовать промывание желудка, для предотвращения аспирации (попадания рвотных масс в легкие).
При комбинированном длительном применении с местными лекарственными формами глюкокортикостероидов (ГКС) для предотвращения развития синдрома "отмены" рекомендуется использовать ГКС утром, а шампунь ПЕРХОТАЛ - вечером, с последующей постепенной отменой ГКС в течение 2-3 недель.
Информация о наличии каких-либо неблагоприятных эффектов у детей отсутствует, эффективность и безопасность применения у них не установлены.

Side effects, overdose & interactions

The PERSHOTAL 2% shampoo is generally well tolerated, but local reactions may be noted:

• local skin irritation, itching and burning of the skin, increased oiliness or dryness of the hair, hair loss;

• allergic reactions (urticaria, skin rash). In some cases, mainly in patients with chemically damaged or gray hair, changes in hair color have been observed.

Overdose

When using the shampoo PERKHOTAL, the development of an overdose is not expected, as the drug is intended for external use only.

Interaction

The drug interaction of PERKHOTAL when used externally is not described.

Ketoconazole exhibits antifungal activity against Pityrosporum ovale and Pityrosporum orbiculare, which cause excessive skin flaking. PERTOTAL shampoo quickly reduces flaking and itching of the scalp, which are commonly associated with dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis.

Pharmacokinetics

The absorption of active substances through the skin with local application is minimal. Since even with prolonged use, the concentration of ketoconazole in the blood is not detectable, it can be concluded that the drug does not have systemic effects.
