Indications

Silymar ® is used for toxic liver damage, chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis (as part of combination therapy), and after recovering from hepatitis. It is used prophylactically in cases of chronic intoxications (including occupational), prolonged use of medications, and alcohol.

Силимар ® принимают при токсических повреждениях печени, хроническом гепатите, циррозе печени (в составе комплексной терапии), после перенесенного гепатита. Профилактически применяют при хронических интоксикациях (в том числе профессиональных), длительном приеме лекарств и алкоголя.

How to use

For adults and children over 12 years of age, take 1-2 tablets orally 3 times a day, 30 minutes before meals. The treatment course is 25-30 days. In cases of chronic conditions, repeated treatment courses are advisable every 1-3 months. For preventive purposes, silymarin is recommended for chronic intoxications (including occupational), prolonged use of medications, and alcohol.

Применяют у взрослых и детей старше 12 лет внутрь по 1-2 таблетки 3 раза в сутки за 30 минут до еды. Курс лечения 25 -30 дней. При хронических заболеваниях целесообразны повторные курсы лечения через 1 - 3 месяца. В профилактических целях силимар рекомендуется принимать при хронических интоксикациях (в том числе профессиональных), длительном приеме лекарств и алкоголя.

Composition

Silymarin dry extract (milk thistle dry extract) with a total flavolignan content calculated as silibin and absolute dry substance 65% - 0.100 g
Excipients (milk sugar (lactose), potato starch, magnesium stearate) - sufficient quantity to obtain a tablet weighing 0.2 g

Tablets are round, biconvex in shape, ranging in color from light brown to brown, with speckles.

Pharmacology

The main active ingredients of Silimara® are flavolignans derived from the fruits of milk thistle (Silybum marianum (L.) Gaerth., family Asteraceae).
The preparation has hepatoprotective and antitoxic effects. The therapeutic effect is due to its impact on the metabolism of hepatocytes. It activates the synthesis of proteins and enzymes in hepatocytes, exerts a stabilizing effect on the membranes of hepatocytes, inhibits the penetration of toxins into liver cells, inhibits dystrophic processes, and enhances regenerative processes in the liver.

Основными действующими веществами Силимара ® являются флаволигнаны, получаемые из плодов расторопши пятнистой Silybum marianum (L.) Gaerth. сем. астровые - Asteraceae.
