How to use
Orally, during meals.
Tablets 8 mg: 1-2 tablets 3 times a day.
Tablets 16 mg: 1/2-1 tablet 3 times a day.
Tablets 24 mg: 1 tablet 2 times a day.
Improvement is usually noted at the beginning of therapy; a stable therapeutic effect occurs after two weeks of treatment and may increase over several months of treatment. Treatment is prolonged. The duration of the treatment course is determined individually.

Внутрь, во время еды.
Таблетки 8 мг: по 1-2 таблетки 3 раза в день.
Таблетки 16 мг: по 1/2- 1 таблетке 3 раза в день.
Таблетки 24 мг: по 1 таблетке 2 раза в день.
Улучшение обычно отмечается уже в начале терапии, стабильный терапевтический эффект наступает после двух недель лечения и может нарастать в течение нескольких месяцев лечения. Лечение длительное. Длительность курса лечения определяется индивидуально.

citric acid - 6.0 mg,
colloidal silicon dioxide (Aerosil) - 9.0 mg,
talc - 8.4 mg,
magnesium stearate - 1.35 mg.

Effect on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery
Betahistine does not have a sedative effect and does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or engage in activities requiring quick psychomotor reactions.

Side effects, overdose & interactions
Gastrointestinal disorders; appearance of hypersensitivity reactions on the skin (rash, itching, urticaria), angioedema.
Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, seizures.
Treatment: gastric lavage, administration of activated charcoal, symptomatic therapy.
If you are currently taking or have recently taken other medications, including over-the-counter drugs, please inform your healthcare provider.
In vivo studies aimed at investigating interactions with other medications have not been conducted. Based on in vitro data, it can be assumed that there is no inhibition of cytochrome P450 isoenzyme activity in vivo.
In vitro data showed inhibition of betahistine metabolism by drugs that inhibit monoamine oxidase (MAO), including MAO subtype B (e.g., selegiline). Caution should be exercised when betahistine is prescribed concurrently with MAO inhibitors (including MAO-B).
Betahistine is a histamine analogue; the interaction of betahistine with H1-histamine receptor blockers may theoretically affect the efficacy of one of these medications.

Лечение: промывание желудка, прием активированного угля, симптоматическая терапия.

Исследования in vivo, направленные на изучение взаимодействия с другими лекарственными препаратами, не проводились. Основываясь на данных in vitro, можно предположить отсутствие ингибирования активности изоферментов цитохрома Р450 in vivo.
Данные in vitro показали ингибирование метаболизма бетагистина под действием препаратов, которые ингибируют моноаминоксидазу (МАО), включая МАО подтипа В (например, селегилин). Следует соблюдать осторожность при одновременном назначении бетагистина и ингибиторов МАО (включая МАО-В).
Бетагистин является аналогом гистамина, взаимодействие бетагистина с блокаторами Hi-гистаминовых рецепторов теоретически может влиять на эффективность одного из этих лекарственных средств.
Pharmacology
Betahistine primarily acts on H1 and H3 histamine receptors in the inner ear and vestibular nuclei of the central nervous system. Through direct agonistic action on H1 receptors in the blood vessels of the inner ear, as well as indirectly through its effect on H3 receptors, it improves microcirculation and capillary permeability, normalizes endolymphatic pressure in the labyrinth and cochlea. Additionally, betahistine increases blood flow in the basilar artery.
It has a pronounced central effect, acting as an inhibitor of H3 receptors in the vestibular nerve nuclei. It normalizes conductivity in the neurons of the vestibular nuclei at the level of the brainstem.
The clinical manifestations of these properties include a reduction in the frequency and intensity of vertigo, a decrease in tinnitus, and an improvement in hearing in cases of hearing loss.
Rapidly absorbed, low plasma protein binding. Time to reach maximum plasma concentration - 3 hours. Almost completely excreted by the kidneys as a metabolite (2-pyridylacetic acid) within 24 hours. Half-life - 3 - 4 hours.

Бетагистин действует главным образом на гистаминовые H1- и H3-рецепторы внутреннего уха и вестибулярных ядер ЦНС. Путём прямого агонистического воздействия на H1-рецепторы сосудов внутреннего уха, а также опосредованно через воздействие на НЗ-рецепторы улучшает микроциркуляцию и проницаемость капилляров, нормализует давление эндолимфы в лабиринте и улитке. Вместе с тем бетагистин увеличивает кровоток в базиллярной артерии.
Обладает выраженным центральным эффектом, являясь ингибитором НЗ-рецепторов ядер вестибулярного нерва. Нормализует проводимость в нейронах вестибулярных ядер на уровне ствола головного мозга.
Клиническим проявлением указанных свойств является снижение частоты и интенсивности головокружений, уменьшение шума в ушах, улучшение слуха в случае его понижения.
Абсорбируется быстро, связь с белками плазмы - низкая. Время достижения максимальной концентрации в плазме крови - 3 ч. Практически полностью
выводится почками в виде метаболита (2-пиридилуксусной кислоты) в течение 24 ч. Период полувыведения - 3 - 4 ч.
