How to use

For oral use after meals in 2-3 week courses. Adults and children aged 14 years and older: 250-500 mg three times a day (maximum daily dose 2500 mg). Children aged 3 to 8 years: 50-100 mg three times a day; from 8 to 14 years: 250 mg three times a day. The maximum single dose for adults and children aged 14 years and older is 750 mg; for individuals over 60 years: 500 mg; for children under 8 years: 150 mg; from 8 to 14 years: 250 mg.
Alcohol withdrawal syndrome: 250-500 mg three times a day and at night 750 mg, with a gradual reduction of the daily dose to the usual for adults. Treatment of dizziness due to vestibular dysfunction and Meniere's disease: 250 mg three times a day for 14 days.
Prevention of motion sickness: 250-500 mg taken once 1 hour before expected onset of motion or at the first signs of seasickness. The anti-motion sickness effect of Anvifen is enhanced with an increased dose of the medication. In cases of pronounced manifestations of seasickness (vomiting, etc.), the administration of Anvifen is ineffective even at doses of 750-1000 mg.

Внутрь после еды 2-3-х недельными курсами. Взрослым и детям с 14 лет по 250-500 мг 3 раза в день (максимальная суточная доза 2500 мг). Детям с 3-х до 8 лет по 50-100 мг 3 раза в день; от 8 до 14 лет - по 250 мг 3 раза в день. Однократная максимальная доза у взрослых и детей с 14 лет составляет 750 мг, у лиц старше 60 лет - 500 мг, у детей до 8 лет - 150 мг, от 8 до 14 лет - 250 мг.
Алкогольный абстинентный синдром: 250-500 мг 3 раза в день и на ночь 750 мг, с постепенным понижением суточной дозы до обычной для взрослых. Лечение головокружения при дисфункциях вестибулярного аппарата и болезни Меньера: 250 мг 3 раза в день на протяжении 14 дней.
Профилактика укачивания: 250-500 мг однократно за 1 час до предполагаемого начала качки или при появлении первых симптомов морской болезни. Противоукачивающее действие Анвифена усиливается при увеличении дозы препарата. При наступлении выраженных проявлений морской болезни (рвота и т.д.) назначение Анвифена малоэффективно даже в дозах 750-1000 мг.

Side effects, overdose & interactions

Drowsiness, nausea. Increased irritability, agitation, anxiety, dizziness, headache (during the initial doses), allergic reactions.

Symptoms: pronounced drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, fatty liver dystrophy (with intake over 7 g), eosinophilia, decreased blood pressure, impaired kidney function. Treatment: gastric lavage, administration of activated charcoal, and symptomatic therapy.

Prolongs and enhances the effects of hypnotics, narcotic analgesics, neuroleptics, antiparkinsonian agents, and antiepileptic drugs.

Nootropic agent that facilitates GABA-mediated transmission of nerve impulses in the central nervous system (direct action on GABAergic receptors). The tranquilizing effect is combined with an activating effect. It also possesses antiplatelet, antioxidant, and some anticonvulsant properties.
Improves the functional state of the brain by normalizing its metabolism and influencing cerebral blood flow (increases volumetric and linear velocity, reduces vascular resistance, improves microcirculation, exerts antiplatelet action). Prolongs the latent period and shortens the duration and severity of nystagmus.
Does not affect cholinergic and adrenergic receptors. Reduces vasovegetative symptoms (including headache, sensation of heaviness in the head, sleep disturbances, irritability, emotional lability). With course administration, it enhances physical and mental performance (attention, memory, speed, and accuracy of sensorimotor reactions).
Reduces manifestations of asthenia (improves well-being, increases interest and initiative (motivation for activity)) without sedation or excitation. Contributes to a decrease in feelings of anxiety, tension, and worry, normalizes sleep.
In elderly individuals, it does not cause central nervous system depression, and muscle relaxant aftereffects are most often absent.

Absorption is high, well-distributed in all body tissues and across the blood-brain barrier (approximately 0.1% of the administered dose penetrates into brain tissue, with significantly greater penetration in young and elderly individuals). It is evenly distributed in the liver and kidneys. Metabolized in the liver - 80-95%, with pharmacologically inactive metabolites. Does not accumulate. Begins to be excreted by the kidneys after 3 hours, while the concentration in brain tissue does not decrease and is still detectable for another 6 hours. About 5% is excreted by the kidneys in unchanged form, partially with bile.

Ноотропное средство, облегчает ГАМК-опосредованную передачу нервных импульсов в центральной нервной системе (прямое воздействие на ГАМК-ергические рецепторы). Транквилизирующее действие сочетается с активирующим эффектом. Также обладает антиагрегантным, антиоксидантным и некоторым противосудорожным действием.
Улучшает функциональное состояние мозга за счет нормализации его метаболизма и влияния на мозговой кровоток (увеличивает объемную и линейную скорость, уменьшает сопротивление сосудов, улучшает микроциркуляцию, оказывает антиагрегантное действие). Удлиняет латентный период и укорачивает продолжительность и выраженность нистагма.

Уменьшает проявления астении (улучшает самочувствие, повышает интерес и инициативу (мотивация деятельности)) без седации или возбуждения. Способствует снижению чувства тревоги, напряженности и беспокойства, нормализует сон.
У людей пожилого возраста не вызывает угнетение центральной нервной системы, мышечно-расслабляющее последействие чаще всего отсутствует.

Абсорбция высокая, хорошо проникает во все ткани организма и через гематоэнцефалический барьер (в ткани мозга проникает около 0,1 % введенной дозы препарата, причем у лиц молодого и пожилого возраста в значительно большей степени). Равномерно распределяется в печени и почках. Метаболизируется в печени - 80-95%, метаболиты фармакологически не активны. Не кумулирует. Через 3 ч начинает выводиться почками, при этом концентрация в ткани мозга не снижается и обнаруживается еще в течение 6 ч. Около 5 % выводится почками в неизмененном виде, частично с желчью.
