How to use

Topically. Treatment of viral rhinitis: apply the ointment to the nasal mucosa 2 - 3 times a day for 3 - 4 days.
Prevention of influenza: during the rise and peak of an epidemic outbreak of influenza or upon contact with an influenza patient, apply the ointment to the nasal mucosa daily 2 - 3 times a day for 25 days.

Местно. Лечение вирусного ринита: слизистую оболочку носа смазывают мазью 2 - 3 раза в сутки в течение 3 - 4 дней.
Профилактика гриппа: в период подъема и максимального развития эпидемической вспышки гриппа или при контакте с больным гриппом слизистую оболочку носа смазывают мазью ежедневно 2 - 3 раза в сутки в течение 25 дней.

Pharmacology

Exhibits antiviral activity by blocking the binding sites of the influenza virus on the cell membrane surface, protecting cells from viral penetration.

When applied to the mucous membrane, approximately 20% of the drug is absorbed. It does not accumulate in the body and is primarily excreted by the kidneys within 24 hours.

Description

Oxolin 0.25% nasal ointment is a medicinal product for the prevention of infections on the nasal mucosa. It contains an active substance that exerts a virustatic effect on many viruses. The nasal ointment can be used for the prevention of influenza, ARVI, and other viral diseases. It can be applied both when in a high-risk infection zone and as treatment when the first signs of illness appear. Typically, the ointment is applied to the nasal mucosa 2-3 times a day during epidemics. This ointment can be used for the prevention of viral diseases and for treatment. Oxolin 0.25% nasal ointment is well tolerated, has a neutral smell, does not leave greasy marks, and does not cause irritation of the mucous membranes.

Оксолин 0,25% мазь назальная - это лекарственный препарат для профилактики инфекций на слизистой оболочке носа. Он содержит активное вещество оказывающее вирусостатическое действие на многие вирусы. Мазь назальная может применяться для профилактики гриппа, ОРВИ и других вирусных заболеваний. Её можно использовать как при нахождении в зоне повышенного риска инфекции, так и в качестве лечения, когда уже появились первые признаки заболевания.
