Indications

Geranium essential oil helps normalize the function of sebaceous and sweat glands.

How to use

For the care of irritated, sensitive, and oily skin: 4–5 drops of geranium essential oil or its mixture with rose, lavender, or sandalwood oils, in a 1:1 ratio, per 10 g of cream or 10 ml of tonic, lotion, etc.
Massage: Mix 5–7 drops of geranium essential oil or its mixture with basil, bergamot, orange, or lemon essential oils in a 1:1 ratio with 1–2 tablespoons of any vegetable oil (jojoba, almond, peach, grape seed, etc.).
Bath: Add 10 drops of geranium essential oil or one of the oil blends to a filled bathtub (37–38° C), previously mixed with 1 tablespoon of emulsifier (milk, honey, sea or table salt). Duration of the procedure is 10–20 minutes.

Для ухода за раздраженной, чувствительной и жирной кожей: 4–5 капель гераниевого эфирного масла или его смеси с розовым, лавандовым или сандаловым маслами, в соотношении 1:1, на 10 г крема или 10 мл тоника, лосьона и др.
Массаж: 5–7 капель гераниевого эфирного масла или его смеси с базиликовым, бергамотовым, апельсиновым или лимонным эфирными маслами в соотношении 1:1 смешать с 1–2 столовыми ложками любого растительного масла (жожоба, миндального, персикового, виноградных косточек и др.).
Ванна: В наполненную ванну (37–38° С) добавить 10 капель гераниевого эфирного масла или одной из композиций масел, предварительно смешанных с 1 столовой ложкой эмульгатора (молока, меда, морской или поваренной соли). Длительность процедуры 10–20 мин.

Appearance and properties: the oil is light, volatile, ranging from light yellow to dark yellow in color, possessing aromas of rose and geranium with a hint of mint.

Scented geranium or rose geranium (Pelargonium roseum) - a perennial branching shrub with strong stems from the Geraniaceae family. The native habitat of geranium is South Africa, and it is successfully cultivated in Europe and Central America. Since ancient times, plants of this genus have been used in folk medicine as a dermatological remedy. Scented geranium was traditionally planted near homes as a talisman against evil spirits. Currently, it is used as a component in perfumery compositions, fragrances for soap, and cosmetic products.

The main components of the oil are biologically active compounds - terpene alcohols: citronellol (up to 30-45%), geraniol (5-25%), linalool, as well as accompanying terpenes: limonene, β-phellandrene, β-pinene, α-pinene, which give the oil a rich aroma. Among the additional compounds, there are tannins, flavonoids, macro and microelements that replenish cellular deficiencies of minerals.
