How to use

Methods of application:
1. Air aromatization. Fill the aroma lamp with hot water, add 5-7 drops of essential oil for every 20 m² of area. Place a lit candle in the lower part of the aroma lamp. Do not allow the water to boil; occasionally add water. Duration of the procedure is 15-30 minutes.
2. Massage. Mix 3-5 drops of essential oil with 1-2 tablespoons of any cosmetic oil (jojoba, peach, almond, etc.) or massage cream, apply to the skin, and perform the massage procedure.
3. Aromatic bath. Add a mixture of essential oil (5-7 drops) with 1 tablespoon of emulsifier (milk, honey, or sea salt) to a bath filled with water (37-38°C). Duration of the procedure is 15-30 minutes. After the bath, dry the body with a towel without rinsing.
4. Compress. Dissolve 15-20 drops of essential oil in 1 liter of room temperature water, then immerse a cotton cloth in this water, lightly wring it out, and apply it to the affected area, covering with compress paper and then with a warming cloth. Duration of the procedure is from 15 to 40 minutes.
5. Rubbing. Mix 3-5 drops of essential oil with 1-2 tablespoons of any cosmetic oil (jojoba, peach, or almond), and rub until fully absorbed.
6. Sauna. Mix essential oil with water (5-7 drops per 1 liter of water) and spray on the walls and floor, avoiding contact with heating devices.
7. Oil mixtures for cosmetic procedures. Add 1-2 drops of essential oil to one teaspoon of any cosmetic oil (jojoba, peach, or olive), and mix thoroughly. For facial and neck care, apply a few drops of the mixture to the fingertips and massage into the skin with light movements. For cleansing the skin of the face and neck, apply a few drops of the mixture to a cotton pad moistened with warm water and wipe the skin.
8. Enrichment of cosmetic products. Add 3-5 drops of citronella essential oil to 10-15 ml of cream, toner, gel, shampoo, etc., mix thoroughly, and use as directed.

Методы применения:
1.Ароматизация воздуха. Аромалампу наполнить горячей водой, добавить 5-7 капель эфирного масла в расчете на 20м2 площади. В нижнюю часть аромалампы поместить зажженную свечу. Не допускать кипения воды, время от времени необходимо добавлять воду. Длительность процедуры 15-30 минут.
2.Массаж. Эфирное масло (3-5 капель) смешать с 1-2 столовыми ложками любого косметического масла (жожоба, персикового, миндального и др.) или массажного крема, нанести на кожу, провести процедуру массажа.
3.Ароматическая ванна. В наполненную водой ванну (37-38°C) добавить смесь эфирного масла (5-7 капель) с 1 столовой ложкой эмульгатора (молока, меда или морской соли). Продолжительность процедуры 15-30 минут. После ванны, не ополаскиваясь, вытереть тело полотенцем.
4.Компресс. В 1 л воды комнатной температуры размешать 15-20 капель эфирного масла, после чего погрузить в эту воду х/б ткань, слегка отжать и наложить на больное место, накрыть компрессной бумагой, затем утепляющей тканью. Время процедуры от 15 до 40 минут.
5.Растирание. 3-5 капель эфирного масла смешать с 1-2 столовыми ложками любого косметического масла (жожоба, персикового или миндального), втирать до полного впитывания.
6.Сауна. Смешать эфирное масло с водой (5-7 капель на 1 литр воды) и разбрызгать на стены и пол, избегая попадания на нагревательные приборы.
7.Масляные смеси для косметических процедур. В одну чайную ложку любого косметического масла (жожоба, персикового или оливкового) добавить 1-2 капли эфирного масла, тщательно перемешать.
Для ухода за кожей лица и шеи нанести несколько капель смеси на кончики пальцев рук и втереть в кожу легкими массирующими движениями.
Для очищения кожи лица и шеи нанести несколько капель смеси на смоченный в теплой воде и отжатый тампон и протереть кожу.
8.Обогащение косметических средств. К 10-15 мл крема, тоника, геля, шампуня и т.д. добавить 3-5 капель эфирного масла цитронеллы, тщательно перемешать, использовать по назначению.

Contraindications & warnings

- Individual intolerance to the oil.
- Do not use in individuals with allergic diseases, bronchial asthma, or epilepsy.
- In the presence of chronic diseases. Consult a doctor before conducting aromatherapy for a child or elderly person.
- Do not use during pregnancy and in children under 3 years of age.
- Do not apply to sensitive skin.
- Do not use in cases of hypertension stage III and IV.

Attention! Essential oils are highly concentrated phytoessences. For cosmetic purposes, they should only be used in a mixture with vegetable (base) oils.
General recommendations for the use of essential oils:
Before starting to use an essential oil, it is necessary to conduct a test for allergic reactions.
Mix 1 drop of essential oil with 1/3 teaspoon of vegetable oil and apply to the inner surface of the forearm or behind the ear. Apply 2-3 drops of essential oil to a handkerchief and inhale periodically throughout the day. The use of the tested oil is possible if there is no allergic reaction on the skin, headache, cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, or facial swelling after 12 hours.
Precautions:
- Do not use in pure form.
- Do not apply internally.
- Always adhere to the recommended dosages. For children and elderly individuals, the recommended dose is 1/4 - 1/3 of the adult dose specified in the instructions.
- Avoid contact of essential oils with the eyes. In case of contact with eyes or mucous membranes, rinse with plenty of water.

Общие рекомендации по применению эфирных масел:
Перед началом использования эфирного масла необходимо провести тест на отсутствие аллергической реакции.
1 каплю эфирного масла смешать с 1/3 чайной ложки растительного масла и нанести на внутреннюю поверхность предплечья или за ухо.2-3 капли эфирного масла нанести на носовой платок и в течение дня периодически вдыхать. Применение тестируемого масла возможно, если через 12 часов отсутствует аллергическая реакция на коже, головная боль, кашель, одышка, насморк, отечность лица.
Меры предосторожности:
-Не использовать в чистом виде.
-Не применять внутрь.
-Обязательно соблюдать рекомендуемые дозировки. Для детей и пожилых людей рекомендуемая доза, составляет 1/4 - 1/3 от дозы взрослого человека, указанной в инструкции.
-Избегать попадания эфирных масел в глаза. При попадании эфирного масла в глаза или на слизистые оболочки необходимо промыть их большим количеством воды.

Pharmacology

Citronella is a perennial herbaceous plant, growing from one to one and a half meters in height. In the wild, citronella is found only on the island of Sri Lanka. It is cultivated in Southeast Asia, Southern Africa, Central and South America. The essential oil of citronella is obtained by steam distillation for 5-6 hours from fresh or partially dried grass (Cymbopogon nardus). The essential oil is fluid, yellowish-brown in color. The aroma is light, lemon-fruity, with hints of fresh greenery.
It alleviates symptoms of depression, providing a sense of vitality. It enhances concentration. In cosmetics, citronella essential oil is considered a very effective remedy for oily skin: it cleanses and tightens pores, evens out the skin texture. It disinfects and refreshes the air in enclosed spaces. It repels insects.
Combines well with: sage, cinnamon, mint, sandalwood, fir, clove, orange, bergamot.

Цитронелла - многолетнее травянистое растение, высотой от одного до полутора метров. В диком виде цитронелла произрастает только на острове Шри-Ланка. Культивируется в Юго-Восточной Азии, Южной Африке, Центральной и Южной Америке.Эфирное масло цитронеллы получают методом паровой дистилляции в течение 5-6 часов из свежей или частично высушенной травы (Cymbopogon nardus). Эфирное масло текучее, желтовато-коричневого цвета. Аромат легкий, лимонно-фруктовый, с нотками свежей зелени.
Устраняет симптомы депрессии, дарит ощущение бодрости. Повышает концентрацию внимания. В косметике эфирное масло цитронеллы считается очень эффективным средством для жирного типа кожи лица: очищает и сужает поры, выравнивает кожный покров. Дезинфицирует и освежает воздух закрытых помещений. Отпугивает насекомых.
Сочетается с: шалфеем, корицей, мятой, сандалом, пихтой, гвоздикой, апельсином, бергамотом.
